A last minute switch to the Canon T3 with the 100-400mm f4.5-5.6L and I walk (hike) away with something interesting!
Join me on a trip near the Tonto National Forest in Arizona for a 3 day, 2 night photography excursion. This video shares some lessons that I learned when always trying to hunt for "the perfect" shot or composition while losing the light and shows the benefits of carrying both a landscape and a telephoto lens, if not two camera bodies. It also gives a little insight to my future "mobile dark room" (support/camper van) that I have affectionately named Penny. She is a 2013 Ford Transit Connect that was gifted to me by my good friend Kirk and I'm looking forward to seeing where she takes me in 2025. This day reminded me that I'm no spring chicken anymore and need to grant myself additional time when hiking off-trail in very steep, rocky terrain!
